2006 NAPPA Gift Guide
We sift through hundreds of new gift ideas for children to bring you the best toys, DVDs and music, sorted by age group. Find toys for stacking, sorting, manipulating, building, programming, toting and role-playing. DVDs soothe, teach, tell stories or even help you chart your course and make decisions. The musical selections by new artists and old favorites span the globe.

Flying Solo
Most airlines allow children as young as 5 to fly without a parent or guardian and provide “Unaccompanied Minor Services” to ensure that children arrive safely at their destinations. Find out how to book a flight, what the airlines require, how much services cost and how to prepare your child for a successful trip. A local mom and her 9-year-old daughter share experiences and tips.

Out & About: Dead Sea Scrolls
The Pacific Science Center in Seattle plays host to scrolls, linens and pottery from the greatest archeological find of the last century. A children’s audio tour, Imax and Planetarium shows and hands-on sections help make the scholarly exhibit kid-friendly, but it’s still best for those 8 and older.
