Calendar Highlights

“Expressions in Abstract”

The current show at the Gallery at the Shoreline Center offers a good introduction to abstract art. Four practitioners of this playful art form are represented. Stan Chraminski has recently started using his old palettes to create art. Lifelong professional artist Ray Gerring turned to abstract art after he lost most of his eyesight in 2004. The work of Joan Keith is informed by the Expressionists of the early 20th century. Luci Lytle recycles corrugated boxes to create works of art. Noon-5pm Mondays-Fridays through Oct. 31. Gallery at the Shoreline Center, 18560 First Ave. NE, Shoreline. 206-417-4645. www.shorelinearts.net.
