Handling Separation Anxiety
Bonding and separation anxiety begin at birth or adoption and are normal
parts of the first few years of life. Starting formal schooling often
triggers a heightened sense of separation anxiety – in parents as
well as children. We share ways to make this transition a part of the
growing process and to help a child feel good about himself and his new
situation.
