Up-Close Wildlife Encounters

Northwest Trek offers a new way to meet wild animals this summer. During Trailside Encounters, animal keepers bring different animals out to meet the public at 11:30am, 1:30pm or 3:30pm. Different animals star in each 15-20 minute presentation, so you never know which one you’ll see. Some of the animal stars include wolverines, rubber boas, skunks, slugs and beavers. The presentations offer an opportunity to ask keepers about how the animals live in the wild. If animals show signs of stress, the presentation may be ended early. Included with admission. $13.50, $12.50 seniors, $9 ages 5-12, $6 ages 3-4. 11610 Trek Dr. E, Eatonville. 360-832-6117. www.nwtrek.org.
