Sandfest
Seattle brings the beach to the city this month during Countrywide Home Loans Seattle Sandfest, benefiting The Moyer Foundation. Aug. 26, the urban beach festival will be in full swing 11:30am-4:30pm, with live music, sand team competition, kids’ activities and retail activities. FREE. Festivities take place in Westlake Park (401 Pine St., Seattle), Westlake Plaza (Fourth Ave. and Pine St., Seattle) and on Pine St. between Fourth and Fifth, as well as between Sixth and Seventh. 206-623-0340. www.downtownsummer.com.
