February 2008 Calendar Highlights Kids Counting Birds Kids can be an important part of the annual Great Backyard Bird Count Feb. 15-18. Keep track of birds observed in your backyard during any or all of the count days (this could take as little as 15 min.), then report the findings online. The data collected helps scientists understand bird population numbers and distribution across the continent. Look online for tips, activities, and a checklist of birds that live in your area.
